On a different blog, I tried a faceup. I didn't like the sticky residue the matte spray I originally used left behind. I decided to clean things up a bit and while I was at it, I would try to reduce the black around the eye holes.

DD Stand (Volks)
Let's say you couldn't find a metal doll stand online or at the last Dolpa in North America. Let's say you settled for the plastic DD Stand to tide you over until you could find a metal one. If you did that, you would have quickly discovered the DD Stand is extremely poor in quality and will not support your Dollfie Dream (or another comparably sized doll) to stand upright. If you're such a person, DON'T THROW THAT STAND AWAY. I'm here to help.

DIY Doll Chair Stand
Specifically, I wanted a doll stand which would allow a 1/3-scale doll to take a seat. Unfortunately, the chairs being discontinued items made that idea much more difficult to implement than it needed to be. Not seeing any doll stands I want available, I decided to make my own.

1/6 Scale Dolls: Hands With Moving Fingers
Dolls generally include fixed pose hands. The fingers and thumbs can't be moved individually, or more like they can't be moved at all. If you want to have the dolls making different gestures, you have to buy hands in specific shapes.
